Todd Oldham Debuts Kid Made Modern Collection for Target

Courtesy Target

When Todd Oldham‘s Kid Made Modern hit the market in 2009, the public’s response — from the kids to the parents! — was astounding, to say the least.

And with the arts and crafts book filled with fun do-it-yourself projects that were perfect for the whole family, Oldham’s next endeavor couldn’t have been more obvious.

“The next step was to find a partner to make actual art supplies,” he tells PEOPLE.

Fortunately, Target was the answer Oldham had been looking for; The company agreed to the launch of the Kid Made Modern collection, which includes an array of 48 different affordable (everything is under $20!) art supplies and kits.

“My main inspiration for the Kid Made Modern collection is to celebrate the joy of creativity through art and craft,” Oldham says

So just how creative did the designer get with his masterpieces? “One crayon has 64 colors within it and because it’s faceted on the sides, you have all these bright color-defined edges you can draw across the paper,” he explains.

Plus, as if that weren’t enough, all of the jewelry making kits are packaged in super cool lunch boxes that can be used even after the project has been completed.

The collection will be available on May 20, both in stores and on Target.com.

Alanis Morissette: I Will Breastfeed Until My Son Weans

Jeff Kravitz/AMA2011/FilmMagic

Amidst all the breastfeeding controversy, Alanis Morissette has added her voice to the conversation as a pro attachment parent.

In a new interview, the singer reveals she is still nursing 16-month-old Ever Imre — and, as of yet, has no plans to stop.

“I breastfeed and I’ll be breastfeeding until my son is finished and he weans,” Morissette, 37, tells Access Hollywood.

Her decision, she adds, will provide her son with the stability he needs in his future. “I think it affords the child, when he grows up, to have a lot less therapy to go to,” the first-time mom explains.

“For me, I protect his safety and his well-being and his attachment. That stage of development is a very important stage.”

The family of three — which includes husband Mario “Souleye” Treadway — stays “skin-on-skin connected” as much as possible and is practicing co-sleeping. However, despite sharing their bed with a toddler, Morissette reveals it doesn’t put a damper on the couple’s relationship.

“He’s a very robust, virile man,” she says with a laugh. “You gotta take care of your husband.”

Sneak Peek: Molly Sims’s Nursery

After celebrating her firstborn’s upcoming arrival at a fun, festive baby shower on Saturday, Molly Sims has turned her attention to nesting, by planning her son’s sweetly modern bedroom.

Due next month, the actress/model/mama-to-be talks about her nursery inspiration in a video for Valspar Paint’s new Valspar Color Project.

“The way to go is definitely more of a pastel color on the wall,” the star, who aims for a light, contemporary look, says about her chosen soft green hue (Valspar’s Zen Garden, a non-VOC paint). “It changes the whole mood, it changes the atmosphere; I walk in and it feels light.”

Sims worked with interior designer Kishani Perera to incorporate vintage and eclectic elements into the baby boy’s room, including Nurseryworks’ Loom Crib, bedding by Dwell Studio, Jonathan Adler’s chevron throw, a mix of vintage and John Robshaw pillows from Hollywood at Home, and a Moroccan pouf from Zouk.

Love the look? Watch the full behind-the-scenes video on Valspar’s Facebook page. Every time Molly’s video is viewed or shared, Valspar will donate $1 to Habitat for Humanity in an effort to raise money for their work helping low-income families in need of affordable housing.

Listen. We may say a lot of things about Zoe Hart’s habit of practicing medicine in formal shorts, or about our theory that Lemon Breeland walked through a warp hole in 1940 and decided to stay in rural Alabama because of all the amazing advances the world had made in technology and feminine-hygiene products.
